Sewing 101 for Adults (9am-noon) 10/6, 13, 20 & 27

4 weeks- a class per week- 3 hours each class- 4 projects

Kids are back in school! Learn how to sew!

Perfect for adult students who have never sewn—or barely know how—leave with confidence using a sewing machine and four finished projects. No previous experience is necessary. Come curious and leave sewing! Fabric & thread are not included. I will be providing a list of supplies before class. Sewing machines and all tools will be provided. Class is open to ages 18 & up.

Projects will be: 

1. Reversible Tote
2. Wide legged pull-on pants with elastic waistband
3. Zippered Pouch
4. IPad or laptop quilted cover
   

Subjects to be covered in the workshop:

1. Parts and features of the sewing machine
2. How to trouble shoot when your machine is not cooperating
3. Understanding patterns and how to use them
4. Learn how to cut, follow sewing instructions from a commercial pattern, sew straight and curved lines, use elastic, install a zipper and so much more
5. Have fun doing all of it!

Students are welcome to bring a water bottle and snack.

Please use the single white door (with flowers painted all around) to the far right side of the house to enter the studio space.
